Before the ex-Dutch Caribbean Airline "ALM" shutdown services, most of his Senior Pilots crossed the Atlantic almost every day commanding Wide Body DC-10's and MD-11 for the Giant "KLM" CORRECTION: Somewhere (in a hurry) i wrote MVMI, but it supposed OFCOURSE tob e "SVMI"...! The amazing PMDG MD-11 Music: Exceeder - Perfect

This is one of my favorites, a klm md-11 doing a crosswind (extreme) at montreal's Pierre Trudeau International Airport. Imagine the fun the pilots must have had keeping the aircraft on glideslope...truly skillful.

Here we see a KLM MD-11 departing Montreal's Pierre Elliot Trudeau International Airport on runway 06R. With bad weather moving in from the northwest, this MD-11 makes a right turn to a heading of 150 shortly after take-off to avoid a thunderstorm cell. ATC communications can be heard in the background.

A FedEx MD-11 crash landed on runway 34L at Narita International Airport (RJAA), east of Tokyo, and burst into flames at around 6:50 am, March 23, 2009. FedEx Flight 80 from Guangzhou, China, was manned by a pilot and co-pilot. Gusty winds had been reported at the time of the accident.

TAM Brasil (Sao Paulo) has acquired their second 279-seat McDonnell Douglas MD-11. The MD-11s are being operated to Paris (CDG) jointly with the Airbus A330s. Two daily flights are operated to Paris from Sao Paulo (Guarulhos International Airport) and one direct from Rio de Janeiro (Galeao International Airport).
