Manasota Key 2 - June 2009

Video of 3 turtles that were found on 08/05/09. two were stranded in a nest that was excavated early in the morning. The 3rd turtle was a slow mover from a nest that hatched the night before and was still at the surface of the nest when patrolers were checking the nest. We watched it carefully as it made its way down from the dune and into the Gulf.

Two loggerhead hatchlings are released to the Gulf of Mexico.

After catching more bait in the cast net off of Englewood Beach than the bait bucket could hold, the seagulls fight and feast on the leftovers that spilled over.
