Manasquan NJ Turkey Trot 5 Mile Run Thanksgiving 2009. 2300 plus runners. Of note, the winning time was a new record of 26:23. Alex Commette won the 10 & Under category in 36:30. Special Thanks to Ed Flynn.

August 2009 . Hurricane Bill. On Saturday August 22nd and Sunday August 23rd New Jersey surfers had perfect surf for 2 days. Nice offshore winds too. And a long period swell. Hurricane Bill had been spinning 300 miles off the coast and generated swells that traveled all the way to the East Coast. These swells ranged from 3-8 ft at about 17 secs.
