Increasing hope and inevitable disappointment shape the course of three 20th century Bulgarian political upheavals. The story is told by representatives of two generations, inhabiting the visual space around the Georgi Dimitrov Mausoleum, a monument to Bulgaria's first communist dictator. Despite three failed attempts by Bulgaria's anti-Communist rulers to blast the mausoleum into history, the Mausoleum remains standing. The oblique and macabre symbol provokes the viewer to question his or her assumptions about themes commonly taken for granted: freedom and responsibility, democracy, hope and disappointment. Mazar-e-Quaid or the National Mausoleum refers to the tomb of the founder of Pakistan, Muhammad Ali Jinnah. It is an iconic symbol of Karachi throughout the world. The mausoleum is situated at the heart of the city, completed in 1960s. It is made of white marble with curved Moorish arches and copper grills rest on an elevated 54 square meters platform. The cool inner sanctum reflects the green of a four-tiered crystal chandelier gifted by the people of China. Around the mausoleum there is a park fitted with strong beamed spot-lights which at night project light on the white mausoleum. The location is usually calm and tranquil which is significant considering that it is in the heart of one of the largest global megalopolises. The glowing tomb can be seen for miles at night. Liaqat Ali Khan, the first Prime Minister of Pakistan, and Jinnah's sister, Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah, are also buried besides Jinnah. Official and military ceremonies take place here on special occasions, especially on 23 March, 14 August, 11 September, 25 December, 8 July and 30 July. Dignitaries and officials from foreign countries also visit this place. The Mazar-e-Quaid is now officially recognized as the National Mausloeum of the country.

The museum Betliar focuses on museum documentation of nobility life. It has the seat in a former hunting mansion of the Andrássys which is situated in a large romantic park in Betliar. The mansion was one of many noble seats of the Andrássys up to the year 1945. The first building is dated to period of the first half of the 15th century. Later the area was being extended. The mansion gave a present look after last big reconstruction by the end of last century during the reigh of Emanuel Andrássy. In the park you can discover many precious woods, water and building attractions. The castle Krásna Hôrka is an exposition of the museum in Betliar. Construction of the castle comes from the first half of the 13th century, it was refashioned and rebuilt many times and it had many owners. From the year 1642 it was a property of the Andrássy family who began to establish a family museum in the year 1867. In the year 1906 it was open to the public. The last reconstruction of the sight was completed in the year 1992. Behind the village Krásnohorské Podhradie there is situated another draft exposition of the museum. Mausoleum of the Andrassy family belongs to the most valuable monuments of an art Noveau style in Slovakia. They built it as a family crypt in the years 1903-1904 for Dionýz Andrássy and his wife Františka. It was designed by Richard Berndl and arch engineer Konštantín Frick. Sculpture decoration is a work of Max Frick and Eduard Schmicker. All three objects are national cultural monuments.

i recently had the privelege of playing a show in oslo, norway, and my favorite part of the trip (besides the show!), was getting to visit the emanuel vigeland mausoleum emanuel vigeland was a well-known artist in oslo who built this building as a museum for his work in 1926. he eventually decided that it should serve as his burial place, and now his ashes reside above the entrance. all the windows were closed up and when you enter the cavernous room, there is very little light and you can't really see anything. as your eyes begin to adjust, you realize that the enormous barrel-vaulted room is completely covered by vigeland's fresco paintings depicting human life from conception until death. the acoustics of the room are amazing...there is something like a 12 second delay to every little sound that happens inside. they have concerts there, and they let me bring my guitar in for a private visit. it's hard to capture on video, but the experience of this place was pretty incredible. it is a little bit like being transported to a dark and mysterious alternate dimension. if you're ever in oslo, make sure you stop by. emanuelvigeland.museum.no (the song is "a death waltz" - off my new album - written & performed by me)

Gauntlet Legends; Midway; Dreamcast; Difficulty: Very Hard You are not seeing things. You are not hearing things. You are not seeing the wrong title. This game is indeed Gauntlet Legends and the bonus stage is in fact the Mausoleum (also seen in Gauntlet Dark Legacy.) This video will feature how to get there and my run as a high-leveled Blue Falconess progressing through the stage. There is nothing important to obtain. Just beat up the enemies and find the exit to clear the Mausoleum stage. Since the Mausoleum is quite long, this run will be shown in two parts. This will be the first part. (This video just also happens to be the second of 3 parts of the entire Treasury/Mausoleum run.) Because the difficulty is on the hardest setting (Very Hard), expect to see a lot of enemies and a lot of epic action. Enjoy, rate, and comment.
