They are shown here at Fox Lake, Rondout, and Elgin, Illinois with a last shot of the dead line outside the Metra shops in 2004. Northbound Metra Electric 316 pulls out of the Stony Island station at 71st St., headed toward Hyde Park and downtown. Two minutes later, outbound 315 rounds the curve and pulls into the station. The Amtrak you see meeting and then passing the inbound Metra had already pulled into Union Station and is now outbound for another run. Amtrak is pulled by a Genesis engine and followed in the rear by an F40PH.

Three Metra trains on the UP (ex-C&NW) line paralleling US Highway 14 northwest out of Chicago on the weekend of July 14-15, 2007. We were on a weekend trip to the area for a wedding in the family.
