Take 2, this time with better quality hopefully. I've tried to "mount" a 8x21 monocular to my digital camera which is a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS3 and has a max optical zoom of 3x and here is the result. The first ~32sec is with the camera zoom at the lowest 33mm wide angle, and after that it's at 100mm 3x zoom.

The different speeds of two objects can be a depth cue. Because the sneaker is farther away than the three batteries, it looks like it is moving slower. Since the batteries are closer to the viewer's eye, they seem to be moving faster.
