I met Bruce at Tasman Saddle Hut and was able to complement him on his awesome ski decent of Cook. He invited me to see his photos of him and Leo Geary fly from Mt. Tasman: sadly, I never followed up. Bruce died on Aug 13th 1995 after summiting K2. Don't be shy with comments: this guy inspired us all. BM and SM
