4th of July Fireworks Grand Finale at National Mall 2007!

I thought I would share the last 2 minutes (Grand Finale) of a 30 minute firework show I saw over the 4th in DC I was looking west towards Lincoln Memorial, about 50 ft. west of Washington Monument to my back. Thousands of people were there all over DC and the Mall. Quite the patriotic feeling. Oh, sorry about the view changes,,,Enjoy

Mounted Games on the National Mall in Washington DC

These are pictures that I took on my way to, at, and from the "Mounted Games Across America" event on 15 June 2008. Riders on ponies do tricks such as snatching a ball off a cone or popping a balloon. I only got to photograph two of the races (hence the shortness of this video). But I did bookend it with some nice shots of the National Mall environs. I used my Canon SLR and mostly my Canon L-series 70-200mm telephoto lens.

Washington, DC is a sight to behold in the spring. I took this video on Saturday, March 29, on the National Mall and around the Washington Monument and Tidal Basin. It does not do justice to seeing the cherry blossoms in person. It's also quite something to see the mass of people in the middle of DC The cherry blossoms were at their absolute peaks that day, and the weather could not have been more perfect. I did edit this a little bit to remove short bits where I was just killing tape....
