OHSET videos

Our Drill Team for OHSET performs at State :D Note the part where we screw up big time, and one of our parents says "I don't think they heard that whistle...!". Yeah. We didn't. My dad took the video. I'm the one on the little dark pony. High School name removed intentionally.

Ranger and I did sooo much better...tho it could have been better still. We got 4th out of 45 so I say thats pretty good

Music - Keith Urban - These are the Days We did really well at State that year. Myself and another girl on my team tied for first alternate in working rancher and the 3rd place girl couldn't go, so we both got to. She did SOO much better than me..Kishou spooked at EVERYTHING and we came in last above the people who got DQed..hee. Anyways, the other girl ended up taking 2nd, so good on her! =D We also took 2nd in short program (a huge shock to all of us) so all it really proves is that the NW ...

This is the 2008 Oregon High School Equestrian Team State Finals in Redmond Oregon. This was the Reserve Champion run.

As promised! This was my last chance to ride with Banks drill team and I'm really sad about it :( But this was arguably our best performance (or at least the most fun!) since I joined the team as a sophomore! Thanks all of you girls (and Nick & Angela, and ponies) for making this so awesome! We rocked at state, and I think you guys all know it ;D

Sprague High School Equestrian Drill Team

Music - Horsepower by Chris Ledoux Another of my dad's AWESOME videos. This is his best yet I'd have to say. All of us did SOO well this meet but thanks to politics got TOTALLY SCREWED OVER..You know, most people frown upon bribing judges, or judges that take bribes. We SHOULD have placed second in drill this meet. But no, what do we get? Dead last, and the team who deserved to be placed last wins. Just so "they could go to state too." Grr.

Pattern: trot till even with the cone, 360 left haunch, 360 right forehand, walk to judge, stop and set up, back 4 steps, close 1 step, 225 right haunch, trot on off side, 90 left forehand. I placed 5th out of around 57 people. I think I placed that well because a lot of people were forgetting to back. Personally, I dont think I had that great of a pattern but whatever! haha She was anticipating a lot so thats why she was stepping out.

Lucky for me it wasn't any more or I wouldn't have been able to ride with them! We had our game together by now and were seriously kicking some butt..I can't say the other teams were very supportive of us..so we did our best to annoy them with our team spirit. =D

This is my stock seat equitation pattern from a spring OHSET meet in 2009. The pattern was very difficult. We were supposed to jog , then lope a circle to the left, then change to the right lead, then do an extended lope on a circle to the right, then change to the left lead, counter canter to the cones, stop and back around the cones, jog to the edge of the arena, do an extended jog to the end of the arena, stop, and then do a forehand turn to the left. l It was mostly focused on lead ...
