Here we see the fire siren going off on the roof of Cataract Hose Company in Ossining, New York. I am not sure what kind of siren it is, but its old looking. I am not sure if there was a fire or some other kind of alarm. I have no other information about this video. CSX train Q703 comes north out of Sing Sing Prison just 30 miles into its 130 mile journey from Oak Point Yard in The Bronx, NY to Selkirk Yard, near Albany, NY. Metro North train 891 and CSX train Q703 arrive at the northbound Ossining platform simultaneously. Train 891, the 10:02 express to Poughkeepsie, is lead by Genesis #216, and is hauling 7 cars. This clip shows us downtown Ossining, New York with it's many church steeples on SR-9. This oversize load is a Grove GMK5275 self-powered crane with a boom dolly and it's a monster on these narrow roads. You can see some motorists are a bit shy trying to pass it. The noon horn blasts atop Ossining Town Hall. Every day at 12 noon, this horn gives three blasts. It also serves as one of the numerous town fire sirens. In the beginning of the video, you can hear the bells chiming from the First Baptists Church. The horn doesn't blow until the 1:07 mark. For those of you who are wondering, this is a Gamewell Diaphone Type 2, which is a piston driven horn, and yes, it is extremely loud.
