Organic molecules (those that are carbon-based) become volatilized, or turn into gases. This synthetic gas (syngas) can be used as a fuel source if properly cleaned. Inorganic compounds melt down and become vitrified, or converted into a hard, glassy substance similar in appearance and weight to obsidian. Metals melt down as well, combining with the rest of the inorganic matter (called slag). Unlike incinerators, which use combustion to break down garbage, there is no burning, or oxidation, in this process. The heat from plasma converters causes pyrolysis, a process in which organic matter breaks down and decomposes. Plasma torches can operate in airtight vessels. Combustion requires oxidization; pyrolysis does not. Plasma waste converters can treat almost any kind of waste, including some traditionally difficult waste materials. This thing is gonna be great for overclocking. With the aluminum fins that are the same piece of aluminum as the baseplate, I should have some killer temps. Along with the 1/8" aluminum sides, it should be awesome. Sorry for the bumpy brazing, I was having trouble getting it to set because I was trying to keep it as cool as possible to maintain its thermal characteristics (by not oxidizing). The Other stuff on the edges is silicon sealant, to provide an extra layer of protection against oxidization. Also, the base is in much better shape than it appears, it has since been lapped to extreme smoothness for that extra squeeze of performance. Can't wait, this is gonna be awesome!

The latest project destined to kill off grass as it sits around. This is a 1976 Jeep CJ5 that I picked up... or at least what's left of one. I drained two quarts of water out of the oil pan and cleared out one cylinder of water so I wasn't about to invest a lot of money into this thing to see if it ran. I used an old punctured radiator from my cherokee to keep the engine cool and dismantled the carb to clean out the oxidization and reseal it with silicone. The master cassette used for the transfer was starting to suffer from "tape oxidation" at the very beginning and at the end of the show-you'll probably not notice that too much as very best efforts had been made in the digital restoration part of doing this production. You are really going to like this show! There is feed back coming from the speakers every now and then and no noise or hiss reduction was used in this production.
