PDSR videos

Me, JBTEvans, and GJDobbzy took a trip down to the Paignton & Dartmouth Steam Railway for their Heritage Weekend, featuring the resident 2-8-0 tanks 4277 & 5239, which were denamed for the event, and 5029 'Nunney Castle'. In this part we start off at Paignton, seeing the two 2-8-0s and 4588, before we ride behind 4277 up to Churston, passing 5029, then leaving, 7827 'Lydham Manor' and 75014 'Braveheart' in the sheds, 4277 and 5029 arriving back at Churston, 5029 running round and leaving ...

Here are some linesiding clips of the Paignton & Dartmouth Steam Railway, taken around Waterside Holiday Park from Monday 11th - Thursday 14th August 2008. Locomotives seen are - GWR 2-8-0T 5205 Class 5239 'Goliath' BR(W) 4-6-0 78xx Manor Class 7827 'Lydham Manor' The locomotives are seen from different locations at different times of day and in some different weather conditions!

Part two of a visit to the PDSRs Heritage Weekend. In this part we see 4277 running onto the front of its final train of the day form Kingswear, through the tunnel, then leaving Goodrington, then we go lineside and see 5239 heading for Kingswear, 5029 for Paignton, then for Kingswear making a lot of noise at Broadsands Viaduct, and 5239 heading for Kingswear at the same location, then at Waterside Camp with 5239 heading for Kingswear and 5029 for Paignton. Paignton and Dartmouth Steam Railway hosts aprt of the Dartmoor railways Beer-Ex Tour, with their own Class 25. The Rat did the round trip from Paignton to kingswear and back. Ok, there isnt alot to look at but TURN UP THE VOLUME!!

here we see goliath depart paignton bound for kingswear. please not that the person shouting as the loco is seen going over the level crossing is saying and i quote"c'mon driver give us a toot!" Also at the start of the video you can just make out the outline of hercules under the ploom of smoke coming from goliath. The resident class 08 shunter of the pdsr a sswt class 159 6 car sprinter and the tornado waiting for goliathe to clear the line ready for it's run down to kingswear...

start of my half term i went on a little holiday to Waterside Park in devon which has the PDSR runing right next to it and with only one locomotive in steam 4277 'Hercules'.
