Paignton Zoos rare Sumatran tigers have had four cubs. They were born overnight on Thursday 5th February to male Tenang and female Banda. Mother and cubs will spend the next month hidden from view. All being well, the cubs could be on show soon. Staff will keep their distance over the next few weeks to give Banda and her cubs as much peace and quiet as possible. It is important not to get human scent on the cubs if they are vet checked. They will have vaccinations at 10-12 weeks, 16 weeks ...

For the start of my half term i went on a little holiday to Waterside Park in Devon. As part of the holiday we went of a trip on the PDSR running from Paignton Station to Kingswear Station where you get on a Ferry to sail across the river Dart to Dartmouth. The railway was running there Standard Service which meant only one locomotive would hauling the days trains that locomotive was 4277 'Hercules' After arriving at Kingswear 4277 runs round her train and we then depart Kingswear and are ...

Before you start complaining about how long the train is I just want you to know that I just I wanted to catch the level crossing in action,not bothered about the train this time.

My 6th visit to the Paignton & Dartmouth Steam Railway, 'The Nations Holiday Line' on Wednesday 13th August 2008. Now I know a hell of a lot of enthusiasts are against the P&DSR, saying that they don't keep locomotives in original liveries along with naming them, using coloured lights etc, but I think the P&DSR GWR liveries are better than the GWR real ones, come on, your saying 'Lydham Manor' looks rubbish?, and do the signals really matter? So if you hate it so much why do they keep going ...

jakeyboygen, GWRDec and I made a trip to the Paignton and Dartmouth Steam Railway on Monday 24th August 2009. The railway was running their two train 'Peak Service' which would see nine departures each way during the day. The engines in action were GWR 2-8-0T 42xx Class 'Heavy Freight Tank' number 4277 'Hercules' and BR(W) 4-6-0 78xx 'Manor' Class number 7827 'Lydham Manor' both hauling a set of seven coaches along the line. My sons are mad on trains, so while holidaying in Devon, we took the opportunity to video two trains passing at the level crossing in Paignton.

In a rare move by the Paignton & Dartmouth Steam Railway, it operated a Heritage Open Day gala. With this, visitors had the oportunity to visit engine sheds at Paignton and Chursten which has rarely been seen by the public! Along with other heritage tractions the railway operated a two train services one by steam hauled by 7827 Lydham Manor and the other diesel hauled by D7535 "Hercules". Again really bad weather hit me!! It seems to rain everytime I get the cam out in the open air!...

I couldn't resist buying 2 for £1.50 in Pound Stretcher Paignton. I bought 2 thongs, one in white and another in pink. I got all excited and decided to walk around Paignton in them :)
