Revenge of Ringo ~ Chapter One

The Revenge Begins with a disclaimer, a double murder and opening credits. ~~This is a film shot mostly on High-8mm video. Its grainy quality is due to the loss of the original footage in 2004 that required a print to be made from the rough cut of the internet "dailies" assembled in October 2000. The film is an intentional throwback to the low-budget horror flicks of the late 70s/early 80s (complete with "rockin'" 80s power chord-driven scores and awful in-jokes) but intended for audiences of Mystery Science Theater. The Disclaimer was attached as a "thank you" for its premiere at PhilCon 2005 in Philadelphia, PA. Originally the opening scene was to take place in the back of a rented limo with the rental driver taking a leak on a tree. Killed by an unseen attacker, the driver would collapse and we'd follow a shadowy figure to the back of the limo to reveal two young, sexy 20-somethings as naked as we could get in the middle of their Bill-n-Monica role-play. Well, the limo, its driver and the 2 "sexy" actors were unavailable so a tent was pitched and two producers played a middle-aged blue-collar couple camping in the woods. Much of the movie would change in this way based on budget, schedule conflicts and common sense. But it was a lot of fun and even weirder than we hoped it would turn out. So, grab a six of your favorite malted beverage, kick back and enjoy the cheesy goodness of "The Revenge of Ringo." Features: Roy Winger as Man in Clinton Mask Olga Svensaan as Woman in Beret and Richard Frantz as Ringo
