Taken from the top deck of the ferry from Port Townsend to Whidbey Island. The wind came up, pushing some waves over the top of the ferry. I was standing on the top deck when I shot this - notice how the water was over my head, and flooded the deck. The top deck is 40 to 50 feet above water level!

Peggy Oki visits the Port Townsend Skate Park in Washington State to encourage girls to skate, as well as increase public awareness of the negative impact of whaling. Since the moratorium on whaling in the 1980s there have been over 25000 whales killed.
