STORY: Day 10 of Thailand's political crisis, two days after emergency rule was declared and though public gatherings are banned, protesters are still occupying the prime minister's residence. There's been no retreat from their key demand, the resignation of Prime Minister Samak Sundaravej. But he's used a national radio address to say once more he's staying put. [Samak Sundaravej, Thai Prime Minister]: "I tell you here I am not going to resign. I have to stay to maintain the democratic system. The whole world is waiting and watching." Thousands of protesters laughed and shouted as they listened to Samak's address, their leader equally determined not to back down. [Sondhi Limthongkul, People's Alliance for Democracy]: "He is talking about police brutality - that he didn't have anything to do with it. But in fact he was the one who ordered it. He literally is the master of deception and he lies about everything." And later, there was news of plans to hold a national referendum - with Thais asked whether the government should resign. [Wakul Imkamnuan, Protestor]: "The referendum is just the way the government dumps their responsibility on the people, which some of them know, some don't know the real situation." [Boonlerd Vorapatwong, Protestor]: "They are just buying time, prolonging their power and looking for ways to crack us. I don't see any solution in having a referendum." Samak's critics accuse him of being a puppet of former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, who was deposed by the military amid corruption allegations in 2006. Although the situation remains tense, neither side appears ready to give in and, despite two bouts of violence that left one dead and scores injured, the army chief says his troops will not take up arms against the people.

Dragi naši Imamo još vremena do subote (12.4.) navečer za prikupiti potpise, to bi nam moglo biti dovoljno. Sve što svatko od nas treba napraviti je pozvati i nagovoriti još troje ljudi da uzmu svoj JMBG i potpišu zahtjev za referendum. Proces pridruživanja NATO-u nije gotova stvar, kako se želi prikazati. To je proces koji će potrajati barem još godinu dana. Za to vrijeme stignemo provesti kvalitetnu informativnu kampanju koja do sada, usprkos pokušajima nekih struja, nije imala najširi potrebni doseg. Referendum je nužan upravo iz tog razloga: ljudi ne znaju što NATO nosi. Pod pretpostavkom da ni jedna organizacija koja postoji nema samo loše ili samo dobre strane, cilj je educirati građane o dobrim i lošim stranama tog saveza. Kako bismo svi zajedno mogli odlučiti o onome što nam NATO nosi, sami zaključiti, na temelju svojih stajališta, nužno je provesti referendum. To je jedini način da Vlada istraži i prikaže sve elemente i korisne i štetne koje takvo pridruživanje nosi, a da nas usput oslobode paušalnih floskula od kojih nam gore uši. Vremena do subote navečer, još tri osobe po svakom od nas i odluka nama! p.s. ne podcjenjujte pozitivni zamah koji uspjeh jedne ovakve akcije može značiti za opću budućnost Hrvatske. Raspisivanje referenduma istovremeno sa lokalnim izborima početkom sljedeće godine moglo bi tako znatno podići izlazak biraća na birališta, a i cijela bi referenduma u tom slučaju bila minimalna. Bill walks us through the back-story of the abortion law in South Dakota and how the ban has changed the political landscape of South Dakota.
