Stress Relief with Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)

Visit http://www.Tapping.com for more Emotional Freedom Technique videos, EFT articles, and my E-Book. Emotional Freedom Technique is a simple acupressure technique for releasing negative feelings. You feel negative feelings in the body, so you have to go to the body to work on them. You can release a negative feeling right now with this video. If you're stressed you should find yourself more relaxed after this video, and feeling more able to deal with whatever is stressing you. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Q: How hard should I tap? A: Tap lightly, just so that you feel it. The purpose of the tapping is to bring your attention to different parts of your body, it actually works if you just imagine tapping - as long as your attention is drawn to the right points. Q: How can I be sure I am finding the right points? A: Use two fingers to make sure you cover the points. Sometimes the point will 'feel' right, as if there is a slight indent in the skin or the point is particularly sensitive. It's all connected so you don't have to be 100% accurate. Q: You have missed out points that Gary Craig teaches! A: Yes. Feel free to tap those too, I left them out to keep the video simple and it seems to work fine without them. If you find the video doesn't work for you, try tapping the additional points - around the top-middle of the head, and just under the armpit. Q: Is the sequence important? A: No. You can tap the points in any order. In fact you only need to tap one or two of the points for each particular feeling. It's just you have no easy way to know which point so you might as well tap them all. Q: I am a skeptic! / You are a charlatan! A: Thanks. Tapping is perfectly explainable scientifically but it does go beyond most people's understanding. It really does work though, and the best way to prove that to yourself is to try it and watch your negative feelings disappear. For more info see the Introductory video which gives a bit more explanation: http://youtube.com/watch?v=6i33V2EcVlY Also this video shows use of an electro-acupuncture pen to show that the points have a different electrical resistence to other parts of the body: http://youtube.com/watch?v=GCYkdK0Uol0

Stress Relief for the Creative and Constantly Connected

Google Tech Talks May, 1 2008 ABSTRACT It's awesome that we are all so connected, but the real question is, how are we connected? More specifically: How can our time connected via technology enhance our creativity and well-being instead of adding to our frustration and stress? How can we engage creatively with our work such that we are more likely to calmly complete a project in four hours rather than stressing and banging our head to complete it in eight? How can our time connected be more focused and less scattered? In this talk, focused on Stress Relief for the Creative and Constantly Connected, teachings from ancient wisdom traditions like Zen will be used to address these questions. Using material from his forthcoming book on this subject, the speaker will offer tools for living sanely and effectively in this increasingly connected world. Isha Foundation - Tsunami Relief & Rehabilitation

"We must understand what the disaster is. A huge wave is not the disaster. The disaster is human. People who lost their family, that's the disaster. Somebody lost his livelihood; somebody lost his home; that's the disaster. Somebody doesn't have something to eat tonight; that's the disaster. So, this disaster is not just on the physical plane. A human being's suffering is hugely within himself, more than outside. A few packets of food may arrive, and he may get to eat; however, the new conditions - that he has to sit on the street side and eat, not in his home, and that his family has disappeared - that is the real disaster, the human part of it." - Sadhguru Tsunami Relief & Rehabilitation Isha Foundation which already operated centers in the coastal regions of Tamil Nadu was quick in its response to the unprecedented and catastrophic death and destruction caused by the tsunami on 26th December, 2004. In coastal areas of Chidambaram and Cuddalore and the devastated villages in Vellankovil and Nagapattanam, thousands of Isha volunteers from all walks of life tirelessly operated relief camps from the very first day, offering food, shelter, quality medical assistance and psychological relief to the victims. Specially designed Isha Yoga classes were also conducted to help those affected cope with the disaster, through physically and psychologically strengthening tools. Personally participating in the relief and rehabilitation programs, Sadhguru made several visits to the affected areas -- closely directing and overseeing the process. Eight Mobile Health Clinics complete with their medical teams, supplies and thousands of volunteers were immediately moved from their project sites to the coast and put at the disposal of the district administration. Subsequently, in close working with the district administration, Isha Foundation adopted four villages in Cuddalore district and completed a model rehabilitation program that was highly acclaimed by the beneficiary communities and the state administration alike. In addition, Mobile Health Clinics were permanently dedicated to implementing the project Action for Rural Rejuvenation in 60 coastal villages. Isha Foundation delivered its first permanent house to the victims within 30 days of the disaster. The novel housing design developed promptly by Sadhguru himself, was certified as fire, earthquake, cyclone and tsunami proof by various institutions. Further, a boat manufacturing facility was set up on the premises of Isha Yoga Center to respond to the urgent need for fishing boats (the sole livelihood provider of coastal villagers). Volunteer engineers and professionals assisted to restore livelihoods lost through the calamity. A massive tree planting program and creation of a green belt through Project Green Hands was also undertaken and is ongoing in coastal villages affected by the tsunami. #50 Chris Garneau - Relief

Riz Khan - Palestinian Children's Relief Fund - 18 Sep 08 - Part 1

Riz speaks with the founder of the Palestinian Children's Relief Fund, Steve Sosebee, as well as one doctor who is volunteering his time and skills to help children in the US. In any war it is usually the smallest victims who suffer the most, and this has been the case in the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Hundreds of children have been physically and psychologically damaged by bombs, sniper fire and missile attacks, but often left without adequate medical treatment. The Palestinian Children's Relief Fund (PCRF) was established in 1991 to address the medical and humanitarian crisis facing Palestinian youth. Since then it has expanded to help suffering children in other Middle Eastern nations, improve the quality of medical care by sending in medical equipment and supplies into the West Bank and Gaza Strip and training Palestinian surgeons. The PCRF currently has several sick or injured Arab children the Middle East, Europe and here in the US who are being treated for free.
