This short documentary was made for my master research in Dakar, Senegal. I was there during 4 months doing my research on sabardancing. This documentary serves a an introduction to my master's thesis.

Dakar is the capital city of Senegal, located on the Cape Verde Peninsula, on the country's Atlantic coast. it is the westernmost African city; this fact aided its growth into a major regional port. Gorée is famous as a former center of the Atlantic slave trade from where many Africans were deported to the Americas (wikipedia).
