Engine 52 pulls train out of Sheepscot Yard. This is a replica of the original W, W, & F Ry, and is built on the original railroad grade. Please feel free to ask me any questions about the railroad, and I can answer most of them. I am one of the many volunteers who help make this museum possible.

After #52 pulled away the two flat cars we again attempted to make the trip to Sheepscot station with #10 pushing the coach. This is a video of our ride in the coach. We just kept losing speed and could not make it up the grade because of the slippery rails. Ultimately #52 came back one more time and with #10 pushing and #52 pulling managed to return to Sheepscot station.

Engine 52 pushes the train over one of the many private road crossings on it's return trip to Sheepscot. The engine didn't run around because the plow is still on the front of the engine. The steam engine usually runs around the train like a regular tourist railroad. The railroad has been rebuilt on 2.2 miles of the original W, W, & F railroad grade.

This is my version of the W, W, & F on the Trainz computer game. This is how Sheepscot yard looks now, with the exception of the track going across Cross Road, which is the road at the end of the platform.

Trainz version of the two foot gauge Wiscasset, Waterville, and Farmington Railway. This is between the 218 grade crossing, and aobut half a mile south of Sheepscot Station.

This is a section of the Sheepscot river on the coast of Maine. The normal river flow is NE (upper right) to SW (lower left), but due to rising tide, the river's direction of flow is reversed. This video was taken about 1.5 hours before high tide. The turbulence caused by this reversal created many whirlpools ranging in size from 1 to 4 feet in diameter. Loons were also seen diving for fish who were eating food and debris that was stirred up.

Railway museum in Alna, Maine I made in October of 2002. It was shot on Plus-X super-8 film, hand edited and then transferred to digital video. It is a tribute to the films shot by railfans like Linwood Moody, Newell Martin and Albert G. Hale during the last days of the Two Footers first lifetimes. Seeing those films has always been special to me because it's as close as someone born long after the fact can come to really being there. ... carrier railroad that operated in the early part of the 1900's, up until 1933 when the railroad ceased operations. The line ran from Wiscasset in the south, to Albion and Winslow in the north. The Museum is located at the site of the old Sheepscot station, with mainline track running north from Cross Road, on the original roadbed. They are laying track like there's no tomorrow, and have gone past the next station in Alna Center which has been recreated with a run-around so that they can ...

Taken June 24, 2007, on the Wiscasset, Waterville and Farmington Railway at Sheepscot Station in Alna, Maine. The engine crew kindly offered a cab ride while their engine was running around the train at Alna Center.
