The Death Dance of Sigismund
4:4For behold, it came to pass that five hundred and fifty five years had passed since the time that sigismund dictated to cooperander. 4:5 It is I, the trader of shoes who gives these commandmants unto my disciples. However Hoover sucked up my capacities and gave me the smoke drawings upon which these words are written. 4:6 The first commandment is that of decentralisation. What cometh from my experience may not be duplicated but only experienced. visit http://nerdkore.com for more info Here's my online shop where I have all of my paintings for sale. Fritz Wolfgang Sigismund Fassbender (1990)
Wearing a wig of unmatched socks, I fondly play Peter Sellers who plays Dr. Fritz Wolfgang Sigismund Fassbender in What's New Pussycat 1965. He wears a long black wig and looks really groovy. He's a bit of a mess personality wise. The idea is I am being hypnotized into being Fassbender - the song was written at the tail end of the Chessmen times part way into the psychedelic times of the Chessmen - still to be recorded and on the way to the Swinging Gurus and The space band, Thee Gnostics - soon to come out with some videos... The song was made from all voices - I ended leaving the backing guitar in for a bit of filler. But all else is voices with minimal effects aside from some delay and reverb. I have been looking forward to doing more vocal sound recordings. I have started in on some experimental works to follow some of the experimental vocal works during Gnostics and side projects. |

Sigismund Stojowski: Idylle, Op. 25 No. 3
Stojowski (1870-1946) was a Polish pianist and composer, and one-time pupil of Paderewski. He settled in the US in 1911. This piece comes from a set of 'Romantische Stücke', published in 1902. This is a very angst-filled idylle with a lot of wide leaps in the piano writing, which is very much in the Brahms/Reger tradition. --------------------------------------- Played by Phillip Sear http://www.psear.co.uk |

Marek Weber Tanz-Orch. & Siegfried Arno, 1930
The hit song of the year 1930 - "Was kann das Sigismund dafuer..." (How Can Sigismund Help He's So Beautiful?)is played by one of the best Weimar Berlin dance bands. Such fine musicians like Arthur Briggs (trumpet) or a banjoist Mike Danzi played for M. Weber, as well as most popular crooners like Monosson or Austin Egen sung the refrains. Here the refrain is sung by Siegfried Arno - a cabaret and film actor, whose two rare clips can be found here in You Tube. Marek Weber and Arno left Germany after Hitler took power and they continued their career in the US (Weber as "King of The Waltz" in radio). This recording was made for Electrola in 1930. |

Jewish Berlin Cabaret: Paul Godwin Orch. & Max Hansen, 1930
Paul GODWIN (Pinchas Goldfein) born in Sosnowiec (Upper Silesia, Poland), died 1982 in Driebergen, Holland. He left Sosnowiec as a teenage boy to go to warsaw, where he studiem violin in Warsaw Conservatory. After completing his studiem in Poland, he went to Berlin where he established his own little orchestra. After a few years, the band became one of most popular dance bands, known as Paul Godwin Jazz-Symphonikern (or: Paul Godwin Tanz-Orchester, Paul Godwin Künstler-Orchester). Under such names he recorded hundreds of sides for the Deutsche Grammophon and Polydor labels. After the Nazis took power in Germany in 1933, he manager to emigrate to Holland, where -- as soon-to-be forgotten Polish-German Jew -- he tried contunuing his performances as a violinist for the Dutch classical and symphony orchestras -- and never returnig to his hot-jazz 1920s repertoire. He died in 1982 in Driebergen, Holland in oblivion. Max Josef HANSEN was born in Mannheim, Germany, but was raised by his step parents in Munich. His mother was a Danish Actress, Eva Haller, his father's name was von Waldheim. In his school days, he sang at the Opera House, so he earned the nickname "The Little Caruso" Later he studied music and voice and got a job at the „Simplizissimus" cabaret in Munich. From 1914 he played Operettas in Vienna and became a friend of Franz Lehár. Then, he went to Berlin to perform at the revues in Metropole Theater, where he skon became a superstar of operettas, revues, cabaret and radio. He began acting in silent films from 1926 to 28. His first talkie was „Wien, du Stadt der Lieder" (1930) In 1932 he played with Gitta Alpar in Die, oder keine (1932) ("She, or Nobody"). In 1933 when Nazis took power, he left for Vienna, and later to Switzerland, Amsterdam, Oslo and Helsinki. After the war was ended, Max Hansen tried to return to the mainstream, but -- albeit his attempts to perform with Zarah Leander (sic!)- he never regained hhis pre-war popularity. He died in Copenhagen, Denmark in 1961. Recording: Paul Godwin Orch., Ges. Max Hansen - Was kann das Sigismund dafür (How Can Sigismund Help He's So Beautiful?) (Sanders/Schwarz/Gilbert) (aus:"Im weissen Rössl"), Grammophon 1930 |

Warhammer 40k Tribute - Black Templars, His Holy Crusaders
A Tribute To The Black Templars Space Marine Chapter One Of The Greatest Chapters That has Ever Lived. History During Horus' attack on the Emperor's Palace, Rogal Dorn chose Sigismund as the Emperor's Champion, and Sigismund was given the best armour and weapons. He went forward to challenge the traitorous leaders in single combat, and triumphed over all he met in battle. After the Horus Heresy, the breakdown of the Imperial Fists into Codex chapters was demanded by Roboute Guilliman. Dorn thought him a coward for not being there with the Ultramarines to help in the defence of Terra. Guilliman in his turn thought a rebel of Dorn for not adhering to the new Codex Astartes. Neither would give in. Leman Russ, primarch of the Space Wolves, and Vulkan, primarch of the Salamanders both agreed with Dorn, they also did not want their Legions split up and spread across the galaxy. Raven Guard primarch Corax and Jaghatai Khan of the White Scars supported the Ultramarines. Again a civil war was looming on the horizon. The Imperial Fists were persecuted for their so called heresies and even fired upon by the Imperial Navy. When it looked almost inevitable that civil war would be fought, Dorn finally relented and agreed to split his legion in chapters as dictated by the Codex Astartes. The Imperial Fists were split up and the Crimson Fists and the Black Templars chapters were created. Sigismund, who was chosen as Emperor's Champion by Dorn, led the more zealous of the Imperial Fists as the Black Templar chapter and was elevated to the rank of first High Marshal of the Black Templars. Sigismund swore an oath that upon leaving Terra, he and his new chapter would prove their loyalty by never resting in his duties against enemies of the Emperor. Every High Marshal after him has renewed this oath and as such, the Black Templars Crusade is the longest Space Marine Crusade ever begun and has continued for over ten thousand years. Because of this unending crusade, the Black Templars live on their Crusade Fleets and use the planets they conquer to establish Chapter Keeps which are used for recruitment and staging areas. Organisation The Black Templars are not organised like the regular Chapters. Most of the time they fight into Fighting Companies which are formed in an ad hoc manner. The individual squads and specialists (such as Techmarines and Apothecaries) will fight side by side out of familiarity and comradeship rather than any imposed organisation. Combat doctrines The Black Templars have continued in the style of their first High Marshal, preferring close combat over ranged warfare. This is further emphasised by the fanaticism of Black Templars Initiates, whose righteous anger makes them impulsive and headstrong. When making war, the Crusade will focus on two main tactics. The first is orbital assault; where the Crusade will use drop pods and Thunderhawks to perform a mass-landing in the wake of a heavy orbital bombardment. If resistance is still strong after this, the Templars will land their heavy armour and launch an armoured spearhead against the weakest link in the enemy's defensive line, using Crusader-pattern Land Raiders. As part of their dedication to the Emperor and their Crusade, the Black Templars swear fell oaths of faith and protection. Before a battle, it is considered customary to renew one of these oaths, the particular vow serving as a focus on the particular aspect of their duties considered to be necessary to ensure success. |
