subjectivism
This is a response to GoldenGun85's video Agnosticism and Postmodernism and the subsequent response by Veritas48. The issue is the fallacy of equivocation in reference to two supposed definitions of the word 'relative'. |

So odd that I was listening to Greg on the radio and he happened to address this...apparently popular topic. Thought I'd share this and get your thoughts. |

Da Philo-Show ep.4 "Moral Subjectivism"
Rachel the Relativist's kid brother, "Sam the Ethical Subjectivist" is confronted with the possibility of Universal Moral Principles by their family pet and companion "Oscar the dog" who also in fact recently situated his feces on their imaginary living room carpet. |

Re: Re: Subjectivism, The Subject, and The Fallacy of Equivo
Even Science is subjective at this point. Until we attain a Grand Unification Theory in physics, we have to look at things in terms of Quantum Mechanics, Classical Mechanics, or General Relatively. Similarly, Math is subjective. So claiming an objective truth is very, very difficult (impossible I would argue). |

Atheism - Greatest Danger to Humanity?
We're all subjective. Why choose atheism, which you have said is rather "tolerant" and "unconcerned" as the greatest danger, over a religion that imposes itself and doesn't allow other religions within its area of control, one that leads to extremism, or one that is broadly appealing to 'Christians' who don't want to get deeply into religion? After all, aren't Catholics not going to heaven, and aren't Lukewarm Christians going to be "spit out"? |

Tables and whims
The John Galt Band vs. Subjectivism! Lyrics: Wishful ghosts have made me function, all the world is now at stake No more ghosts, no more distractions I'll take care of all the rest But there's a table in my way How I wish it went away But my wish is not enough In spite of everything they said to me All of this is my invention All is just the way I see Used to ponder your abstractions Till I found there is no "it" But there's a table in my way How I wish it went away But my wish is not enough In spite of everything they said to me If all of this is my creation, if all is just the way I see, if I am capable of wanting then why is there just nothing there indeed? |

Somewhat Angry "Reply" to Inmendham
wukdar, hope you read descriptions because the anger in this video at inmendham's petty tactics spills through in some of my reply to you. I do actually find your view (e.g. on the enlightening relaizations of quantum mechanics) narrow minded, but I don't feel the need to be so mocking as I was for a moment. I.E. I was not calling you "dumb ass" I could have said "not call jihad on our dumb ass"... eh... You are very smart (inmendham not so much so, but somewhat smart in sporadic areas). I normally don't use plays on names, but for a while I had "Apemendham" as the name in the title... you know, I think it would have been justifiable this time... it is the jist of Inmendham that his philosophy about overcoming the inner ape is joined with him acting out as the ape regularly. Inmendham can see the need for compassion and fairness... but give him a couple tools to express petty subjectivism (as opposed to enlightened subjectivism) and he's all over it "for fun". ---- This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 3.0 |

Philosophical lecture concerning a fixed point of reference. Relativism, subjectivism, and absolutism. Quirky, even strange, but funny; Frank Peretti, Christian author explains it well in this short taken from the full length version. |
