An adventure tale of Tall Ship sailing

Start of the tall ship race 2006 in Torquay Torbay. We had fog and the visibility was not more than 200 meters. All around us sounded fog horns in different tones but with the all the same signal, "one long blast and two short" the signal that sailing ships are sounding when they are under sail. One minute for the start other ships became visible and they looked big and very close, when we sailed all together over the start line. (Logbook Bark Europa)

As a Tall Ship Sailor I have managed to find sometime with my camcorder/camera and capture some of the exciting experiences of sailing Tall Ships heres a collection of the best moments during tall ships cannon due, my thanks to the others who had made contributions...currently i'm still waiting to collect more clips..for now i use a few scenes from master and commander... but over all 85% of the clips are real footage.. so hows this for a start?

FALMOUTH, MA- The tall ship that became stranded on rocks this morning near Woods Hole has been freed, according to the Coast Guard. The Unicorn, a 118-foot ship out of New Jersey, ran aground on the rocks this morning off Nonamesset Island, the most easterly island in the Elizabeth Islands chain, about one half mile from Woods Hole. 06/30/09 Tall Ship Kruzenshtern to Visit MMA Sail Massachusetts announced today that KRUZENSHTERN, the famous Russian tall ship, will make a port visit to the Massachusetts Maritime academy in Bourne on the Cape Cod Canal on July 3rd.
