Video showing us 'unintentionally' getting hit by the WaKeeney EF-1 Tornado that hit on May 22nd, 2008. At 2:47 the tornado hits our vehicle. Our VORTEX anemometer recorded winds of 176km/hr (110mph) before it was destroyed. We also intercepted the Quinter, KS EF-4 Tornado too, but it's hard to see in the video because the visibility was bad because it was quite hazy and humid.

A very close call in WaKeeney, Kansas on May 22, 2008 caught by Phil Kurimski. We left WaKeeney just before the tornado hit and got side swiped by Rear Flank Downdraft winds as we headed east on Interstate 70.
