We fell in love with Atticus because of his personality, athleticism, movement and heart. Purchased from the breeder: Pineland Farms he is the reason we have started developing young Dutch Warmbloods bred in the U.S. Atticus is a 2005 Gelding out of Neostan (Florestan) X Burggraaf. The best combination of classical Dutch dressage and jumping bloodlines. Atticus lives up to his expectations. He has fantastic movement and suspension. We have not pushed too hard because of his size, but the times we have asked, his walk is a 10, his trot floats, his canter is huge and his jump is big and brave. We cant decide whether he is better suited for dressage or jumpingwell let you decide. We can tell you this: Atticus is truly the whole package. He is a happy horse that enjoys people and his work. He has been trained in all the basics: farrier, trailer bathing, clipping, etc., and because he is so sensible, we sometimes forget that he is only three. He will hack out alone or with others. Willow's early dressage training, summer 2008, focusing on basic walk-trot-canter, relaxing her top-line, and the very beginnings of leg yielding. Willow is 5 years old, with limited hours under saddle. I broke her at age 4, then sent her out for breeding most of that season. She didn't take, so back to the breeding farm this year, and she is now pregnant with a Lingh baby. Now that she's home and settled, I've finally launched into her training, and will work her gently through much of the pregnancy. Meanwhile, weekends, my husband enjoys riding her western on long, relaxing trail rides. She's already a wonderful trail horse, and we have high hopes for her progress in dressage. 9 year old Swedish Warmblood by a Westphalian sire. 16 hands, very scopey, always wins the hack. Eligible for 1st year green. Not shown regularly since 2005, but was Champion or Reserve in the AA Hunters each of the three times he was shown in 2006.
