Der Wartburg war die bessere Alternative zum Trabbi. Die Limousine wurde in den Automobilwerken Eisenach hergestellt, heute Opel Standort. Der erste Wartburg wäre auch locker als Gelsenkirchener Barock durchgegangen womit Opel zu Eisenach passt. Der Tourist in Halle, wobei die Karosserie vom VEB Karosseriewerk Dresden - KWD kam. Der seltene Trans war ein Nebenprodukt des VEB Automobilwerke Ludwigsfelde, wo der W50 und L60 LKW hergestellt wurde. Drei Spots zum schmunzeln....

Do you know this old car from former East Germany? Wartburg 353W is not so famous like Trabant, but it uses similar unique conception. The production of this type of car (353W) was started in year 1966 for next long 22 years. The impressive sound is made by primitive 1-litre, 3-cylinder, two-stroke engine (primitive but vital).

Das Mauer Power (recorded 1989 by IFA Wartburg) is a song that explains how powerful a concrete wall can be. For many years, this video was impossible to broadcast due to migration problems from the DDR picture system RiesenAlpha2000 to modern video formats. Now, Das Mauer Power has been converted to SuperBeta. The video will be broadcasted worldwide during the "20 jahre Deutsche Demokratische Republik ohne Mauer"-Jubiläum the 9th of november 2009.

The first part is a 70s commercial for the Wartburg 1000, which was produced in Eisenach, East Germany. It was the "better' and more expensive car for East Germans compared to the much simpler and cheaper Trabant (Trabbi or "Rennpappe" which translates to "Cardboard Racer", a race (car) made out of cardboard paper, because the chassi of the Trabant was not made of Metall, like any other car at that time, but 'composite materials' and I am not talking about the kind of 'composite materials ...
