Stagecoach offered £85 million to buy West Midlands Travel in 1991. However as Phil said he didn't want to sell WMT, so it was sold to the workers for just £60 million; some years later it was resold for a much higher full market value price to National Express who still own this very profitable bus company.

Volvo B6 637 suffered apparent electrical fault by Walsall Arboretum earler this year. 637 was stripped of what avalible parts at Walsall Garage and was parked in the yard for months until finally going for scrap
