This is a short video clip of Yamaha's new V Star 950 in Tommy Blue. For anyone considering one and would like to know what it looks and sounds like from a 360 degree angle.

This started out as a stock v-star classic. It took around a month of late nights to get to this point. I still need to make a exhaust for it and get some tires. this was an extremely low budget build for those who think you have to spend a ton of money for a kick ass little scoot.

Before I bought mine, I couldn't find many videos about this bike, so I wanted to upload mine in case anyone wants to hear it before they buy it...

I've heard from many people that Yamaha V Stars have loud/noisy top ends. I've also heard the solution to this problem is to get louder pipe. This is a video of my stock 2007 V Star 1100 after it has been warmed up with a 20 minute ride. The bike has 1200 miles on it, has had it valves "adjusted" at 600 miles by the dealership, and it is currently filled with Yamalube 20W-40. I don't have access to another V Star 1100 to compare my engine noise with. Does mine sound "normal" or is this ...

This easy to do modification (as easy as the famous 'TELMO" mod!) sounds great and does not need rejetting! You just drill 4 5/8" holes in a 'cross' pattern through the end cone of the stock exhaust...the upper and lower holes go right through into the baffle cavity, and the two left/right ones just go through the outer cone. Sounds a LOT like a Harley and takes 30 minutes! To finish, use a rotary rasp or Dremel tool to bevel and smooth the rough edges and then carefully spray the whole area ...

There weren't any videos of this bike when I was looking to buy one so I made one. This was the first one the dealer sold in FL. There are no aftermarket parts yet because of the new model year. First thing to go is the exhaust. If you have any questions about the bike let me know.

I had a friend film some of the rides we have been on and put it together here.

Added a Kuryakyn Hypercharger and some Cobra pipes. Also through in steel-braided cables and a sissy bar for ladies night. Aww yeah, Betty is turning into a BEAST. Pardon the cold start idle. Didn't have time to warm her up and didn't want to completely ruin my neighbors. They're going to hate me this summer. Xoxo.
