Tussen Brunig-Hasliberg en Lungern ligt een mooie wandeling, die vrijwel geheel langs de spoorbaan loopt. De wandeling is merendeels dalend en over een goed begaanbaar pad. Voor spoorliefhebbers die graag wandelen een aanrader, voor wandelaars die van het spoor houden....ook!

De GoldenPass, gezien vanuit het"vogelperspectief"....

On a weekend in April 2007, my girlfriend and me decided to do a weekend trip from Lucerne to Grindelwald (Switzerland). Using my parent's car, we made the way from Lucerne to Grindelwald within a few hours. During the car ride to Grindelwald, we stopped at several places to have a rest or to enjoy the beautiful scenery. One of our stops was in Brienz, a small town having around 3000 inhabitants and which is located on the north bank of Lake Brienz in the Bernese Oberland. Brinz town alos lies on the railway route Lucerne-Interlaken, which is run by the Zentralbahn railway company. The company runs narrow gauge railways (Switzerland boasts an extensive network of metre gauge railwas, most of them concerntrated in the more heavily mountainous areas) and starting from Lucerne, the trains of the Zentralbahn need to pass the Brünig pass (1008 m / 3300 ft) using cogwheel. This video shows the arrival of the Zentralbahn train in Brienz, after having passed the Brünig pass.
