OK, here's what I was told. The boxcar between the two locomotives is for weight distribution. This train makes a side trip to Shelby, NC every day. Some of the bridges on the Shelby line can't support the weight of 2 GP's so they put some of the power equipment in that ex-Central of Georgia boxcar to spread out the weight. You can see they're running cab-backwards like the old Southern days. And about that horn...what do you guys think it sounds like...a wounded moose crying out in pain or ...

2007 ACC Champion Virginia Tech Hokies return to Blacksburg after winning their 2nd ACC Championship in 2 years.

The local had a lot of cars to move around this afternoon. This is one of the trains that sunny51352 gets so upset about as it repeatedly blocks one of the crossings in Blacksburg. There was another local working the south end of the yard at the same time. You're probably wondering about that old boxcar between the two GP38's. I'll explain that in part 2. And yes, it wouldn't be a railfan trip without barking dogs.

These guys are so sick it is unfortunate that the style of music is very overlooked. At this particular show, there were only about 30 people present, but I'm glad that I brought the camera to document the night. Also, it was hot as sour piss and we were all sweaty as hell.

In 2007, he was first team All-District and 2nd Team All-Region, passing for over 1400 yds and 18 TDs. As a Sophomore, he was 2nd team All-Region punter, but did not punt as a Junior.
