From the utopian model city and hexagons flying down a corridor in the title sequence to host Bob showing off new additions to the set, you just know you're in for a brilliant quiz. This video confirms that the allegations by employees of a BlockBuster movie-rental store in Mexico are real. The strange things that occur there late at night, include touching on the back of the neck, blows of breath into ears and the flickering of lights.

The final chapter, vs Nicola Walker and Cathy Cook..I couldn't have been beaten by two nicer contestants. I can't believe this was more than twenty years ago, and that Bob is now 80. Hope you enjoyed this trip down memory lane

This is the first time the Hand Jive was seen on Blockbusters. The guy (mostly) responsible for it is 7th along in the front row, with the Thomas Dolby haircut. I think he just got bored sitting through filming several shows a day waiting for his turn.

1991 Blockbusters opening theme tune from the bob holness era.

An extended version of the Blockbusters theme, a 1980's television gameshow. I did the editing in Goldwave. I believe its based on the original season 1 theme in the UK All I have done is repeate a few sections, mess with the bass and pitch in a couple of them and add a slight reverb to bits of it.

Stephen Merchant from the Office and Extras is defeated on the gameshow Blockbusters by Roopam and Claire (the Thelma and Louise of Blockbusters) hosted by Michael Aspel. 1997.
