Developments of the future

This was a request from Projectleet to do a city scape. I never do buildings so this one took me quite some time to complete. I used PrismaColor Markers for this one. Song is "The Beginning is the End is the Beginning" by Smashing Pumpkins

...Just a neat little easter egg in this awesome game. God mode was used to make it easier (plus you'd probably get killed during the fall if you didnt put it on).

This winter I painted several cityscape in response to my on going-reoccurring dreams of San Francisco. Although I have not lived there for many years it is as though part of me still drifts along those familiar streets at night. Likewise, every time I sat down to paint recently, I would see all those squares and boxes of brick and concrete and glass and steel. All those mysterious building seen only from the sidewalk,...down lanes and alleys on trains and buses i wander that dream scape ...

During the last construction boom the New York cityscape changed radically. There are new buildings, new parks, new landmarks and a lot of unfinished condos. The financial crisis has powered down the cranes, and WNYC is taking advantage of this moment to look around and examine how much the city has changed, and where it's heading next.
