Fishing Crescent Lake for Kokanee in early June. We used orange Nordic jigs with white corn. Jigging in 100 ft of water, we let the Nordic hit bottom, and then reeled up about 4 ft. We caught our limit of 5 each, all between 10 and 14 inches.

This was our bear viewing excursion while on Crescent Lake at the Redoubt Mountain Lodge, Alaska. The sockeye salmon were spawing and the brown bears were feasting. In all, we saw fifteen bears that day. Check out www.redoubtlodge.com for more information.

This is a short little video we made of the clubs trip to Crescent Lake in late 2009. It was a small group but as always great company. The day was perfect with sun and calm water in the morning and some wind and chop in the afternoon to mix things up. Enjoy

Crescent Lake Radar Run held 2-28-09

It was a tough site to behold when we arrived to Crescent Lake and stared out at a massive shelf of ice at our only point of access. We wound up towing our boats 1/4 mile over the snow via snowmobile to dump into the nearest open water. We would never have gone fishing if not for the help of Tom, owner of Crescent Lake Resort.
