The HTMS Dance Team competed in the American All-Star Alabama Dance Championship on January 17, 2009. The girls won the state championship for their hip hop routine to "I'mma Shine." They also won second place for their pom routine to "Puppy Chow" and their kick routine to "Wild, Wild West."
