Dan Fogelberg Live! - Believe In Me

If I could ever say it right And reach your hostage heart Despite the doubts you harbor Then you might Come to believe in me. The life I lead is not the kind That gives a woman peace of mind I only hope someday youll find That you can believe in me. Those other loves that Came before Mean nothing to me anymore But you can never be quite sure And will not believe in me. Too many hearts have been broken Failing to trust what they feel But trust isnt something Thats spoken And loves never wrong When its real. If I could only do one thing Then I would try to write and sing A song that ends your questioning And makes you believe in me. Too many hearts have been broken Failing to trust what they feel But trust isnt something Thats spoken And loves never wrong When its real. If I could only do one thing Then I would try to write and sing A song that ends your questioning And makes you believe in me Oh, you can believe in me.

Stronger than any mountain cathedral Truer than any tree ever grew Deeper than any forest primeval I am in love with you. I'll bring fires in the winters You'll send showers in the springs We'll fly through the falls and summers With love on our wings. Through the years as the fire Starts to mellow Burning lines in the book of our lives Though the binding cracks and the Pages start to yellow I'll be in love with you. Longer than there've been fishes In the ocean Higher than any bird ever flew Longer than there've been stars Up in the heavens I've been in love with you I am in love with you...

Dan Fogelberg - Whispers In The Wind

This is a special request by www.youtube.com Maria, thank you for your fan and friendship! Message to Dan Fans from Mariaglenn: ~It was the summer of 1973, a free concert at the auditorium had brought out a rather large crowd to see a new young talent, the Louisiana university had been abuzz with different ones asking if I was going to see Dan Fogelberg... The lights dimmed, applause filled the room, and a young man walked out on stage, with a rather shy look he said "Good Evening", sat down at the piano, and flipped his long hair behind his shoulders, taking a quick glance to the side, the soft opening refrains of "To The Morning" rose on the quiet air.....to me, it felt like the world went frozen, and the room seemed filled with a mystical air...this was not my normal reaction to a concert...and I felt other worldly. After thunderous applause, he quickly followed with another tune...my ears heard... "I was raised by a river, rolling past a town, given no direction, just told to keep my head down, and I took my position, a man fired a gun, I was so steeped in tradition, I could not run"..... and this is how a girl nicknamed River...born at the opposite end of a very long river, began her journey with a man who wrote the music of her life..... I never was able to explain to others, what happened for 34 years, the visions, the dreams, the unreal concerts, the whole mystic of it all, brought me to the conclusion, that Dan actually did walk, "The Spirit Trail"...his visits ...

Believe In Me - Dan Fogelberg.

Daniel Grayling Fogelberg was born on August 13, 1951 in Peoria, Illinois. He has two older brothers Marc, an attorney, and Peter, a graphic artist that live in Chicago and Peoria respectively. His father, Lawrence Peter Fogelberg, was a World War II veteran and worked as a band leader for both Woodruff 1945-1955 and Pekin 1956-1976 High Schools and Bradley University, all in Peoria. He inspired "The Leader Of The Band" which was released a year before he passed away in 1982. Dan's mother, Margaret Young Fogelberg, a Scottish immigrant, is a classically-trained pianist. While growing up, Dan took piano lessons and taught himself to play an old Hawaiian slide guitar that his grandfather gave him. By age 14, Dan was composing songs and was in his first band, The Clan, which played only Beatles tunes. His second band, The Coachmen, played songs by West Coast bands and even appeared with some national acts like Paul Revere and the Raiders. The group also spent some time at a Peoria- area recording studio, The Golden Voice, and released two songs "Maybe Time Will Let Me Forget" and "Autumn Leaves" as 45s on Ledger Records in 1967. They were even offered $1000 for "Autumn Leaves" by a band called The Cryan Shames but turned it down. By 16 Dan was through with his band period and his "introverted self came out and started taking over," he has said. For the next two years, he spent a lot of time sitting on a bluff beside the Illinois River singing Gordon Lightfoot songs. But at ...

Dan Fogelberg - Part Of The Plan (Live - 2003)

Dan Fogelberg Performs "Part Of The Plan" Live On soundstage At The WTTW Television Studio In Chicago, Illinois On August 8, 2003. Original Song From The Album "Souvenirs".

Dan Fogelberg (Illinois)

After Souvenirs, Fogelberg released a string of gold and platinum albums, including Captured Angel (1975) and Nether Lands (1977), and found commercial success with songs such as "The Power of Gold." His 1978 Twin Sons of Different Mothers was the first of two collaborations with jazz flutist Tim Weisberg. 1979's Phoenix reached the Top 10, with "Longer" becoming a #2 pop hit and wedding standard in winter 1980. This was followed by his Top 20 hit "Heart Hotels." The Innocent Age, released in October 1981, was Fogelberg's critical and commercial peak. This double album song cycle included four of his biggest hits: "Leader of the Band," "Hard to Say," "Run for the Roses," and "Same Old Lang Syne," based on a real-life accidental meeting with a former girlfriend (Jill Anderson). A 1982 greatest hits album contained two new songs, both of which were released as singles: "Missing You" and "Make Love Stay." In 1984, he rocked a little again with the album Windows And Walls, containing the singles "The Language of Love" and "Believe in Me." Fogelberg released High Country Snows in 1985. Recorded in Nashville, it showcased his (and some of the industry's best) talent in the bluegrass genre. Vince Gill, Ricky Skaggs, Doc Watson, Jerry Douglas, David Grisman, Chris Hillman, and Herb Pedersen were among those who contributed to the record. In a world defined by "life in the fast lane," Fogelberg described the music as "life in the off-ramp." 1987 heralded a return to rock with ...
