Between July and December of 1990, 5796 was sent by the TTC to UTDC, now with Bombardier, to create a T1 prototype. I finally found it!!! My four days of searching finally paid off! :))...About the 5796 car... Ride aboard an H5 that has been modified into a T1 interior wise. This car in particular was modified to decide the T1's final interior before they came into service. This car was modified and changed around at least a few times. The last modification I saw was when this car had seating only on the sides meaning there were no seats facing forward or backwards. (Part 1 Eglinton to Bloor)...

Description:In 1990 car 5796 was sent to UTDC (Urban Transport Development Corporation AKA Bombardier) to be rebuilt as a prototype of Bombardier T1 car that UTDC was giving TTC as a full sized mock-up T1. When UTDC rebuilt 5796 they gave the car a new style seating arrangement (Somewhat close to the T1s seating but no wheelchair positions), also new stanchion arrangements (also on T1s), and marks where the 5ft wide doorways would be in the new T1 cars and also given new UTDC trucks.
