On the morning of 12/29/2008 approximately 1200 PSU charter passengers in addition to regular commercial traffic lined up at the ticket counters for check-in between 4:30 am and 8:00 am.

Northwest was parking their plane as the air space was to be cleared 15 minutes prior to Air Force One arriving in December 2008. The three vehicles seen sprinting down the taxiway are an HIA vehicle (yellow) and two Secret Service vehicles (black & tan). They are visually making sure all possible obstructions are cleared from the runway, taxiway, etc.

The PA State Police helicopter team was employed to clear the runway prior to Air Force One landing with then President Bush aboard in December 2008.

Presidential entourage (media, etc) deplaning AF-1 during President Bush's December 2008 visit to the Susquehanna Valley. Air Force One landed at HIA in the morning prior to the President's address at the Carlisle War College.
