Toronto - Capital of Province of Ontario, Canada

Toronto is both the political capital of Ontario, and the commercial capital of the province, as well as being the largest city in Canada. It is to Canada what New York is to the United States, with a population of nearly 4 million people. Designated by the United Nations as "one of the world's most multicultural cities," Toronto is a place where you can travel around the world without ever leaving town.

Ontario "Ey Shuno"

Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

In Canada's capital city of Ottawa, most tourists find themselves at Parliament Hill and the several blocks that radiate from there, since many of the city's museums, shops and points of interest are located within that radius. Near the Parliament is Byward Market, which dates back to the 1840s, offering farmer markets and craft stores that you can explore along some pedestrian-only streets.

Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada

At the outflow of Lake Erie into Lake Ontario and a 90 minute drive from Toronto, the natural wonder of Niagara Falls is one of the most famous places on earth, and about half of it lies in Canada. With its thunderous curtain of cascading waters that you can see from beside, on top or even from underneath, the incredible uniqueness and panoramic beauty of Niagara Falls are two of the main reasons why most visitors hop aboard the Maid of the Mist boat to ride right up close to the action....

Ontario RAT-7 knife: Choppaholic!

Demo chopping and wood batoning of the excellent RAT-7 survival knife by Ontario Knives. There are some other good to great variations of the RAT like the ones offered by RAT Cutlery. However I prefer at least a 7" blade in this type of knife, for these types of tasks whenever possible. That's because a larger blade will hack, strip, and split wood more effectively and that type of work compromises most of my survival knife use. Tactical knives will have different considerations but even ...

Ontario RTAK II: King of the Jungle

A truly amazing value, the Ontario RTAK II is a superior survival knife. Granted it weighs out at a hefty 30.5 oz but perhaps that's "good weight" and you need its advantages, discussed in the video. It's superbly balanced, tough, well finished, and has a long, flat-ground blade of proven 1095 steel (one of my outdoor favs). I do re-profile mine to a 20º grind and that drastically improves its cutting/hacking/wood splitting performance. So yes it's heavy but man does it perform... watch and ...

Ontario RTAK II knife: Woods Warrior Proven

Big, bad, and heavy. But it sure works good. That's the excellent Ontario RTAK II knife. It has an easily classifiabable POU as a larger survival blade with of course secondard uses as an emergency defensive tool as well. At this point in TNP, the RTAK II has already proven itself as a capable warrior, even in frigid snowy conditions (video). For an amazingly low price (subject to change!), the Ontario RTAK II supplies its user with a long, full-tang 1/4" thick 1095 blade, a well-shaped ...

Chopping Down a Tree with Ontario Marine Raider knife

Its always more efficient to use your Sawvivor or Sven backpacking saw to fall a dead tree up in the backcountry. Remember we find our driest, best firewood inside such vertically standing dead wood. But it needs to be felled and processed with your saw and your blade of course. But sometimes you may be without such a saw, having only your chosen survival knife with you. If its a blade like the affordable, high-value Ontario SP10 Marine Raider knife then youre in good hands. Furthermore ...

Ontario RAT 1 Folding Tactical knife: Value Perfected

I had previously passed on this knife due to its $70 price and 5.2 0z weight. But at the current price of around $35 I have found it's a steal. The Model 1 by Ontario has an outstanding utility/tactical blade shape, offset angle, good materials, pillar construction, super fast deployment, good balance, and tight lockup. After I lightened this knife with some liner hole drilling, I managed to get its weight down to reasonable 4.8 oz. All without losing strength. Ontario did have to save some ...

DuraCoat Project: Ontario RAT 1 folding knife

Refinishing the Ontario RAT 1 folding tactical knife in "Coyote Brown" color of DuraCoat. DuraCoat is an epoxy based, hard finish from Lauer Weaponry in Wisconsin (shown in other TNP vids as well). Featured in the TNP video "Stabbing Protocol" earlier, this particular RAT 1 folder (partially serrated version) has seen some rough use. But with the proper preparation (discussed, shown) and after the DuraCoat application (details shown), this little knife cleaned up nicely and looks factory new ...

Final 4 Windsor Ontario 2009

Britain's Paul Bonhomme soared to victory in the Red Bull Air Race World Championship on Sunday with a thrilling win over rival Hannes Arch of Austria in Windsor, Ontario. It was Bonhommes ninth career triumph and put him just one point behind Austrias Hannes Arch in the championship. Even though most of the frontrunners struggled to avoid penalties on the windy, turn-filled course straddling the Canada-US border on the Detroit River, Bonhomme managed to fly a series of flawless runs to the ...

CRYSTAL BEACH CYCLONE ROLLER COASTER! Ontario, Canada

Opened in 1927 at Crystal Beach Amusement Park in Ontario, Canada. It is said to be one of the most frightening roller coasters to ever be built. This clip is a series of clips edited together from old newsreels. A few of the scenes are actually of the Cyclone at Palisades Park. These were 2 of the 3 infamous triplets that were built in 1927. I do not know the exact origin of these clips but they are simply posted here for those who appreciate that Roarin' 20's nostalgia. Hold tight and enjoy!!...
