Our big pet, Tobias. He's a percheron quarter cross we've had since he was 18 months old. He's the most loveable horse I've ever had. But I've never had one beginning at quite such a young age before, and no one has ever mistreated him. He's a happy, mellow fellow.

Continuing to teach my Percheron Toby to shake hands. We started with a rope around his left foot. Now we've progressed to using a wand to tap the outside of his leg to ask him to shake hands. Finally, we've worked our way up to asking for a SHAKE of hands with no rope or wand, just extending my right hand forward and saying SHAKE. Put a little something together of our 46 horse hitch, driven by on man and no one leading after the first round using just two lines and the rest bucked back and tied ahead with the best hitch of them all, a talkington! we pulled a 26' deep tillage, recommended hp was 150 and the 46 and the right hitch pulled it to a depth of 7" with ease.we farmed with it for three days and worked down 40 ac, turning corners with ease after the first day, we hooked at 10am and worked until 4pm each day....

Lektra had just begun her riding training at the age of 3 yrs in this clip. It was taken from Dec. 2006 so she's still fairly green broke in it. This video allows you to see 3 gates both directions and her standing still at mounting/dismounting. Lektra is not currently for sale. (10/31/07)

I had alot of fun making this video..this is my horse Shamus working on flatwork with hopes of achieving flying changes eventually. Considering his size (Percheron TB draft cross), it's alot of work and his trainer is really working hard to accomplish this goal. He is starting to get it when switching left to right, but still is resistant right to left. I don't mind critique, but remember it's not me riding..so be kind or I'll delete it.

Hallie is 14.3 hands. Black. Between 5 & 7 years old. Sweet. Lovely movement. Has approx. 30 days under saddle. We filmed on 9/30/07. First time in 17 months she'd been ridden! I think she did pretty well. She does need to re-develop a work ethic, and should be fine for a novice after about 15-30 more days of riding/schooling. She is available to adopt. This is my husband riding his new Percheron at the time, named Xander. He had only had a few riding lessons and nothing too formal, but he and Xander have gotten better since then. The reason you hear me say "pull, jerk" is b/c when we got him his mouth was a rock and he'd ignore you. Obviously as you see how the rider commanded him, I didn't mean jerk his head off...just get his attention. He's much softer in the mouth now after working w/ him. Betina (the horse trainer/instuctor) was exercising Mike her percheron. This was taken before my son Noah got on him to ride. I honestly thought Noah was going to change his mind and want to ride Dolly (the Haflinger) instead, but he had no problems and got right up on him and loved it! Noah is seven years old and notice the little western saddle perched up on Mike's back!
