Two tube sized battery locomotives top and tail a rake of airconditioned BR MKll carriages on one of the most amazing railtours of the London Underground. The tour included parts of the District Line, although it was only possible to film at 'above ground' locations. Also seen are a spare pair of battery locos. I think this was a rake of carriages which were normally used on the Gatwick Express (it was ages ago - I dont remember for sure). InterCity goes underground!!! Filmed in the 1980's ...

Deltic 55022 'Royal Scots Grey' made a first ever (for the class) visit to Pwllheli on Saturday 12th July 2008, at the head of a Pathfinder Railtours special from Preston. Here we see the railtour on the return leg, coming out of Frongoch Tunnel and passing Gogarth on the 35mph 'deviation' from Aberdovey, and opening up (rather spectacularly) onto the 55mph track towards Dovey Junction. Passers-by could have been forgiven for wondering if the August steam specials had started early...! Video ...

73141 and 73204 are seen working UK Railtours' 'The Weymouth Seaside Special' Railtour, which started at London Waterloo, went to Weymouth and returned to London Victoria. The outward route was Clapham Junction, Staines, Ascot, Reading, Basingstoke, Southampton Central and Bournemouth. The return leg was routed via Bournemouth, Southampton Central, Havant, Chichester, Arundel, Horsham, Epsom, Mitcham Junction and Brixton. A good day was had chasing Spitfire's latest railtour! Seen at 5 different locations in the West Highlands. The weather could have been better, but at least myself and the camera managed to stay dry thanks to a large brolly! Enjoy :-)

Canadian Pacific's 2816 H1b "Empress" steam locomotive stopped in New Westminster as part of the "Spirit of 150 Rail Tour" to celebrate British Columbia's 150th birthday. This is not a Royal Hudson as the engine is not streamlined nor is it carrying the crown on the sideboards.

On Sunday 16th September 2007 i was on board this charter to Dunrobin Castle from Aberdeen , Locos used were 47804 and 47787 (First time 47787 has been on a charter since its WCRC repaint). I'd only got footage of the first leg of the tour, the return i had no luck because the camera battery had died just before i got to dunrobin on the way up. This tour was in memory of John Begg (Of Caledonian Heritage Tours) who passed away on 1st June 2007, RIP John.

Shots of three railtours that visited Eastbourne during Airbourne 2007. Firstly 37410 on Thursday is seen at Polegate. A brief diversion to see Oasis Hong Kong Airlines Boeing 747-400 "jumbo" flying over Eastbourne pier. Then two tours are seen at Eastbourne on the Saturday with (1) 67021 and (2) 50049 & 57601 top+tail.

Not one or two but three railtours between 0730 and 1200 past Saltley. First off we start with Great Western Steam loco 4965 with a Tyseley to York excursion.. Then later on and within 15 mins of each other 47851/245 go South to Bath, whilst 47847/815 go north bound from Minehead...Note 57004 whose driver was trying to catch the lime light in light of the failed attempt by the driver of the Jo..
