Steve Cooper and his Dixie Patrol band from Chicago playing the actual arrangments of Red Nichols 5 Pennies band from Red`s 1950`s LP recordings. The Dixie Patrol was the opening band at the famed Chicago Jazz Festival in 1996. Steve actually plays exactly like Red in this video. Other soloists include John Otto on bass sax, Loren Binford on trombone and the drummer is Bob Cousins. The Dixie Patrol also plays all the music of Matty Matlock`s Paducah Patrol.
