So, my Dad recently bought a new Camcorder for the wedding video, so I'm the one who's gonna take control of it. So, I decided to test this thing out. From the looks of it, it's a very a good camrcorder. The quality is top notch. Just look at the nature footage I got. Man, this really is perfect, I like it. Best viewed in HD!

Just got the camera and tried to upload the .m2ts file directly to Youtube. It looks OK here, but the panning is much smoother with the real file and the picture has more detail. I might have to Pony up and get Vegas or something so I can edit and hopefully convert to a format that looks better than when uploading directly.

I took my new Sony HDR-XR520V 240GB camcorder on a bike ride in Japan. I realized when I was editing it, I can't speak English any more. This is intended for fellow cyclists. Note: I had to covert the AVCHD files to MPEG 2 to edit it in Premiere Pro so there's a huge loss in quality.
