Peavey ValveKing® amps feature a patented, variable Class AA/B control called Texture™, which allows sweepable selection between Class A and Class A/B power structures, as well as any combination of the two. With this feature, guitarists can coax virtually any tone from this tweaked-out amplifier. The amp's preamp and power sections use 12AX7 and 6L6GC tubes, respectively, and drive specially voiced 12" ValveKing® loudspeakers (112 and 212 versions only).

This is a sound clip of my Valveking, I've noticed a lot of reviews don't really display the chunky/beefy metal sound this thing can make, so I've played some PALM MUTE heavy riffs, mostly by Killswitch Engage so you can hear how it sounds. Me noodling through my Peavey Valve King 212 with Eminence Man-O-War speakers. I was unhappy with the harsh, brash sound of the amp until I put a Boss GE-7 EQ in the effects loop and cut 1.6K almost completely. It really smoothed out the tone quite a bit and is a lot closer to the Marshall sound I like. I am playing my Epiphone Les Paul Studio with Gibson Burstbucker PRO pickups.

For all the people that asked (and no im not being smug) here are the tone settings i used for the VK212 Gain-Half way (with the TS9) w TS9-almost full Treble-almost full Bass-just below treble Mids- just over half A/B switch on the back FULL presence- Half Resonance 3/4

Don't know what happened to the video quality, but the audio is still fine. I didn't do this to show off so there are a few mess ups here and there. Just enjoy the sound of the Valveking :)
