United Airlines 

For worldwide travel on any United flight, you may carry on one bag and one personal item such as a purse, briefcase or laptop computer. Your carry-on bag: 

  • must fit under your seat or in the overhead bin;
  • must not be more than 9 x 14 x 22 inches (23 x 35 x 56 cm) or 45 linear inches* (114 linear cm); and
  • may be required to travel as checked baggage if the bag cannot be safely stowed on your flight.

Travel within US and Canada: 

  • $25 for 1st
  • $30 for 2nd

International flight originating in the US: 

  • 1st free
  • 2nd $50 at airport $45 online check in
US Airways You’re allowed one carry-on bag and one personal item. Personal items include a purse, briefcase or laptop bag. 

Flights to South America and the Middle East 2 bags

Flights to/from Europe 1st free 2nd $50 online and $55 at airport

Every other flights 1st $23/$25 2nd $32/$35

All 3rd baggage is $100

Delta

Approved Personal Carry-on Items

  • 1 purse, briefcase, camera bag, or diaper bag;
  • or 1 laptop computer (computers cannot be checked and must be carried on);
  • or 1 item of a similar or smaller size to those listed above.
  • All carry-on items must be easily stored in the overhead bin or under the seat in front of you.

For travel within or between the United States and Canada, U.S. Virgin Islands or Puerto Rico:

  • First checked bag: $23 USD/CAD* if checked in online or $25 USD/CAD* at the airport kiosk, ticket counter or curbside
  • Second checked bag: $32 USD/CAD* online or $35 USD/CAD* at the airport

For travel between the United States or Canada and Europe:

  • First checked bag: No fee applies
  • Second checked bag: 50 USD/CAD/EUR* if checked in online or 55 USD/CAD/EUR* at the airport
American Airlines

You can carry on one bag plus one personal item per passenger as long as:

  • They weigh no more than 40 lbs/18 kgs
  • The bag is no more than 45 inches and the personal item is no more than 36 inches when you add the length + width + height so that it fits in an overhead bin or under the seat

Jet Blue

Each customer may bring onboard one personal item (purse, briefcase, laptop, etc.) plus one carry-on bag.

If you’ll be carrying additional bags, there is a $30* fee for checking a second bag and a $75 fee for a third bag

South West  Carry-on items are limited to one bag plus one smaller, personal-type item. 

Southwest allows two (2) checked pieces of baggage per ticketed Customer. Size and weight limitations apply.

Excess Baggage: Effective June 17, 2009, your 3rd through 9th bag or item will incur a charge of $50 per piece, and any bag or item thereafter will be $110 per piece.

Spirit   

Before Aug 1, 2010: Spirit Airlines customers may bring one (1) carry-on bag plus a personal item (such as a purse, briefcase, or laptop computer) on board at no charge. A carry-on bag must fit under your seat or in the overhead bin. Carry-on bag dimensions for overhead bin space may not exceed 24 inches by 16 inches by 12 inches (61cm x 40.6cm x 30.5cm).

Aug 2010 and beyond: Personal item free, Carry on that fits overhead is online ($ 9 fare club member) $20, Check in online $30 gate $45

West Jet

TWO* items of carry-on baggage are permitted per fare-paying guest 

Guests traveling to Montego Bay are only permitted one carry on item between June 29 to September 7 and December 15 to January 15.

Air Canada Effective April 8, 2010, passengers travelling to or through the United States are once again allowed to bring one standard article and one personal article in the cabin, provided both items are within accepted weight and size limits as stated in the table above.

Air Transat  Carry on free (1)  There is no limit to the number of bags that can be checked

The limit applies to the total weight of your baggage, which cannot exceed the baggage allowance weight indicated

Furthermore, maximum weight for one piece of baggage is 30 kg (66 lb.)
