Dongzhaigang Nature Reserve, Hainan
This is located in the northeast part of Hainan Province, which is the first and the biggest mangrove nature reserve in China. Mangroves are a sole woody plant community of inner-tidal coasts in the tropical and sub-tropical zones. Mangrove is a type of a tropical tree and also known as forest above the sea. They usually grow on swampy ground along the seacoasts and riverbanks. There are more than 80 types of mangrove trees in the world and 32 kinds of them can be found at this place only. Moreover, the area is also home to many rare birds and plants, attracting many biologists visit there to discover the reserve’s unique flora and fauna. Nanjing Qixia Mountain, Jiangsu
Qixia Mountain or Sheshan Mountain is located about 22 km far in the northeast direction, in Nanjing City. It covers an area of over 860 hectares and has three peaks that are Dragon Peak, Fengxiang Peak and Tiger Peak. The mountain has charming scenery of a huge area covered with maple trees in autumn. Each year, in the middle of October, the whole mountain is covered with flourishing red, green and golden maple leaves, which makes the mountain a colorful carpet and making it a wonderful place to enjoy fall colors. Middle October to late November is the best time to visit here.
Daocheng in Sichuan
This is situated in the south of the Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in southwest China at the altitude of 3750m. Daocheng is often referred to as “the last pure land in our blue planet” and this is well known for its magnificent mountains, white glaciers, lush pastures, broad valleys and picturesque lakes. Moreover, forests, creeks and grasslands can also be found in the grand valley, fringed by impressive snowcapped mountain peaks.
