Copper Mountain Ski Resort in Summit County, Colorado just west of Denver, has opened for this winter’s ski season, one week ahead of schedule.  It welcomed skiers and riders on Friday, November 7th, 2008.

Season Passes & Upgrades for Sale!  Sales for seasons passes to Copper Mountain Ski Resort are underway with multiple options available, including the Rocky Mountain Super Pass Plus.  New this season, Copper is offering a Woodward at Copper season pass upgrade, as well as the traditional Rocky Mountain Super Pass, the Rocky Mountain Ultimate Pass, Copper Season passes, Transfour Cards and Four Passes. New Training Programs & Fun Events.  This season, Copper will debut several programs and offerings, including Woodward at Copper, Black Bear Glade and Roll Your Own Sushi.  Woodward at Copper – the first skiing and riding training facility dedicated to Park and Pipe progression – opens this season with Winter Camp Days and the One Hit Wonder session, as well as the Woodward at Copper Summer Camp with week-long sessions.  Visit www.WoodwardatCopper.com for more information. 

Also new this year, Copper has added new terrain under the Super Bee lift, the Black Bear Glade. After a day on the hill, Copper invites guests to break out their creativity and learn the fine art of rolling sushi at Storm King Lounge’s “Roll Your Own Sushi”.

Lift Off Festivities.  Copper will host the annual Lift Off festivities Nov. 14-16, including demos, movie premiers, music and Lift Off lodging packages. Go to www.coppercolorado.com to plan your last minute escape to Copper Mountain this November!  

Lifts Open Daily.  All lifts will open at 9 a.m., seven days a week until Dec. 19, to give Copper’s on-hill teams more time to prepare the snow for the day ahead.  Race training will take place from 6 – 9 a.m. daily on Main Vein trail.
