Spring Break in China with Silk Holidays!

Silk Holidays is offering a Spring Break special for all Canadians. The trip is called the “New Face of the Yangtze” and will showcase many of China‘s top destinations, museums, and activities.

Jade Buddha TempleThe tour goes through Shanghai, Yichang, the Yangtze River, Chongqing, Xian, and Beijing. Day 1-4’s activities include a full city tour of Shanghi, visiting: Bund, Yu Garden, , Carpet Factory, Oriental Pearl TV Tower, an Evening Acrobatic Show, and the Shanghai Museum.

Another 4 days is spent on Presidential Cruise’s Yangtze River Cruise. Guests of Silk Holidays will get balcony cabins facing the water. The cruise will visit: the construction site of the new dam, Shennong Steam, and Shibaozhai. Guests disembark the cruise on Day 9 in Chongqing and visit the World War II and Stillwell Museum. They will then fly out to Xian in the afternoon.

In Xian on Day 10, Spring Holiday participants will visit the Terracotta Museum, Ancient Huaqing Hot Spring Palace, Big Wild Goose Pagoda and have an Evening Tang Dynasty Dinner and Show.

Tian An Men SquareDays 11-14 are spent in Beijing and, visiting the Summer Palace, Temple of Heaven, Tian An Men Square, Forbidden City; the Olympics site, The National Stadium & Aquatics Centre, the Badaling Great Wall and Ming Tombs with Sacred Way, and finish with a Peking Duck Farewell Dinner with Cultural Show.

Departures are available on March 15th and March 22nd 2008 and begin at $2899 per person based on double occupancy.
