Two-Week Antarctic Dream Expedition from Chile

 

 

GlacierFor the past two years, Antarctic Dream Expeditions who are based in Santiago, Chile, have been offering expeditions to “the last continent on earth” – Antarctica. Their 11-day and 10-night trip runs from early November to early March while December to February is considered high season.

New Developments for Antarctic Dream Expeditions’ 2008-2009 Season

November 2008 to December marks the third season of the Antarctic Dream Expedition. The past season in 2007-2008, they finished a successful 13 trips with more than 1,000 people from over 41 countries!

In the mean time, the M/V Antarctic Dream has been en route from Spitsbergen to the Arctic, where she spends the summer season offering tours to the Arctic.

Special Guest Expert Speaker and Lecture Series

This upcoming 2008-2009 year, Antarctic Dream Expeditions will offer a special series of guest speakers, who in addition to the regular region-specific programs, will provide insight into a variety of specialized topics.

Visiting the AntarcticOn the December 29 departure, Eric Zafran, a curator at well known museums for over 30 years, will join the team to address the topic of “Artists as Adventurers.” On the January 8th departure, AD welcomes Dyan DeNapoli, also known as the Penguin Lady, who will be discussing the unique biology and behavior of penguins and the environmental issues threatening their survival.
