Modern Gallery was established in 1905 and is located in Zagreb, Croatia. The Art Society, with sculptures and paintings that were acquired by their members, founded it. It holds around 10,000 artworks that are are present here since 1934. In 1905, on the 30th anniversary of the Art society, three works of art were added to the modern gallery. During the year 1934 several collections were moved to Vranyczany Park. The palace went through several renovations such as the two floors of the palace were made fully equipped that displayed permanent collection of Croatian modern paintings and sculptures.
The historic rooms of the palace represents “Two Hundred Years of Carotian Fine Arts, which represents selection of about 650-700 artworks made by famous painters, medal makers and sculptors. A multi-sensory Tactile Gallery MG was opened in 2009 to make the visitors experience the Croatian modern sculptures and paintings through touch and sound technology. In 2010, a new exhibition was opened named “Ikonografija grada u hrvatskom slikarstvu u prvoj polovici 20 st” that represented a view of motif town.
