About Cameroon Art Museum

Marilyn Douala Bell, current president of doual’art and a socio economist established this nonprofit cultural organization and art centre, doual’art. Large number of visitor’s visits this doual’art annually. The art centre mainly aims at producing contemporary art projects and artworks on the other mission of the organization are to support the interested artists and promote their art on a higher level.

Doual’art has brought a change in the contemporary and urban art of Cameroon and other African cities. The centre displays its massive collection through various exhibitions that includes artwork by some renowned artists like Sue Williamson, Jules Wokam, Guy Wouete, Christian Hanussek, Pascale Marthine Tayou, Goddy Leye, bili Bidjocka and many others. Until now, doual’art has produced some 29 public and contemporary artworks along with 17 arches of memory.

Doual’art also works as laboratory for various artistic experiments. Every third year, Doual’art announces Salon urbain de Douala festival that is an art festival of national and international significance. Visitors can access the place by any personal or public vehicle .Unique blend of significant contemporary and urban art of Cameroon makes this destination worth exploring.
