Sliver Pagoda, Cambodia

Sliver Pagoda, also known as Wat Ubosoth Ratanaram, is a temple located on the south side of the Royal Palace of Cambodia. The floor of the temple is covered with five tons of sliver and 5,000 tiles near the entrance have been covered in order to protect them. One of the most notable attributes of the Silver Pagoda is the Emerald Buddha, which is made from Baccarat Crystal, and resides on the glided pedestal inside the temple.

Apart from that there is also a statute of Buddha known as Maitreya Buddha that is made of gold weighing 90kg, decorated with 9584 diamonds , which was created between 1906 and 1907.The staircase that leads to the temple is designed with Italian marble and the Vihara part of the temple comprises of several valued jewels and Buddha. It contains 1,650 art objects, most of which are Buddha statutes. To the south side of the temple lies the Thamma Hall, a place meant for praying and includes the stupa of King Sihanouk. Tipitaka lies to the north side of the temple consisting of Sutta Pitaka and Abhidharma Pitaka. Sutta Pitaka composed of five groups of texts namely Digha Nikaya, Anguttara Nikaya, Khuddka Nikaya, Mijjhima Nikaya and Samyutta Nikaya. Abhidharma Pitaka consists of doctrinal discussions, philosophical, psychological and classification on technical thesaurus.
